Silver and Gold are less reactive to skin oils when compared to other metals such as copper or brass.

The phrases ‘water-proof’ and ‘tarnish free’ are thrown around a lot these days.

However, all jewellery pieces have the potential to become discoloured or damaged if not cared for appropriately.

To prevent scratches and avoid tarnishing

• Remove jewellery before swimming especially in chlorinated pools

• Remove bracelets and rings, when exercising or using gym equipment.

• Remove bracelets and rings, when cleaning. Due potential chemical contact.

• Remove bracelets and rings, and dangling jewellery when using tools at home or work.

Cleaning and storage

Use a gentle jewellery-safe polishing cloth as needed, to remove build up and surface level discolouration.

Store jewellery in a jewellery box when not in use, away from any moisture.

Solid metals can be cleaned with jewellery safe cleaning products. Make sure you pick the correct product for each metal.
